Bringing Light Into Darkness

Mat Luce laughs with a young girl

Yesterday we had the opportunity to spend time at a church on Pomme mountain, the L’eglize de pomme, in a remote area south of the Wesleyan Compound in Petit Goâve.

While we were there, we were able to share some shoes with the children who attend the small school at the church. Perhaps the most impactful part of our time on Pomme Mountain was when Pastor Lionel shared with us his testimony.

While living in Petit Goâve, Pastor Lionel received a vision in a dream where he was commissioned to be a servant of God. He knew God was calling him at that point to preach and he immediately began to look for a place of ministry. He came Pomme Mountain because he knew there was a voodoo influence in the area, and he wanted to bring the light of Christ to the people living there.

Pastor Lionel has devoted his life from that moment on to serving the community on Pomme Mountain. Currently, he is hard at work getting the small school established to provide hope for a brighter future to the children of Pomme Mountain.

At Beehive Global Collective we seek to empower ministry leaders like Pastor Lionel to multiply hope for the future.

From one man He made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from any one of us. Acts 17:26-27
